Unbelievably, its already show 10 (The Final) of Dancing On Ice 2018.
Returning after a four-year break, DOI’s home for the last few months has been a purpose-built studio on Bovingdon Airfield in Hertfordshire. Despite being in a temporary building and facing the very worst weather the UK has to offer – ice, snow and extreme wind (it is an airfield after all), Dancing On Ice has thrilled huge television audiences on ITV every Sunday night since it returned in January 2018.
The photo shows our scoring graphics on the judges’ desk. Whilst it’s the most visible side of our involvement with the show, there’s much more going on behind the scenes. Starting with the judges locking in their scores during the action replay of each skate, our system totals and tracks the scores, generates graphics and data for the scoreline, updates the commentator’s information screen and creates a graphical scoreboard.
Round One’s vast experience of providing systems to complex live productions ensured that all the drama (and any slip-ups) remained on the rink.
Congratulations to the worthy winners of The Greatest Show On Ice…!
